As part of ResourcesNOW’s mission to build and support a national community of professionals working with and through therapeutic schools / programs, we are compiling a catalog of tools and products that you may find useful. Many, but not all, of the tools listed in the Resources Catalog have been tested or used by ResourcesNOW with positive results. Some of the tools are included here as a result of recommendations from peers or colleagues working in the same field. Of course, ResourcesNOW cannot and should not judge which tools are best for you and cannot be held responsible for the same. Where available we have provided a link to any offers for a free trial so you can test the tool you are interested in prior to purchase. This will allow you to judge that tool's usefulness and functionality for yourself.
Please let us know your feedback about any product listed in our Resource Catalog so we can share it with others. We are also interested in hearing about any other tools or resources that you have found helpful so we can consider including them in our Resource Catalog as well.

Featured Publishers for Curriculum Materials and Clinical Tools
Magination Press, owned and operated by the American Psychological Association, publishes books that help children deal with the everyday problems of growing up, as well as more serious problems such as divorce, attention deficit disorder, depression, autism, trauma and more. Books intended for ages 4 through 18 are written mostly by mental health professionals to help children understand their feelings, provide information about difficult topics, and offer practical coping strategies. A comprehensive "Note to Parents" is usually included to help guide parents, therapists, social workers, and teachers in using the book.
Courage to Change is a "catalog for life's challenges" with a selection of publications and merchandise designed for people and organizations that are helping others to help themselves. Courage to Change offers a wide range of books, board games, videos, and other resources that can be used to further self awareness, to aid in therapy, or to be used as tools by mental health professionals. We would encourage anyone working with young people to order their catalog at www.couragetochange.com and include it in their "bag of tricks". Our Editor has been receiving the catalog for years and often used it to find just the resource needed for a special youngster.
HCI — The Life Issues Publisher started publishing pamphlets for the recovery community in 1977 but soon moved into mainstream publishing and has expanded its publishing operations to encompass: Inspiration, Soul/Spirituality, Relationships, Recovery/Healing, Women's Issues, and Self Help. HCI is a good source for recommended reading for teens and parents — look here for that special resource for a teen or family in your circle.
